My Christmas came early this year! ![]() I thought I would post a picture after installing the SeaDek. Worked this evening on rigging the anchor trolleys and other gear. Going to give it a maiden voyage in the morning. I'm looking forward to see how the new Mirage Drive works as well as the skeg compared to the 2013. ![]() |

My recommendation would be to get a quote from SeaDek. Their current complete kits run about $266. http://www.seadek.com/c-97-kayak-non-skid-pads.aspx Would rather not quote what it cost as I get mine at a preferred price that isn't offered to all. But I would guess that one similar to mine would run no more than $300. I really love the material. The 2013 PA in the picture has had SeaDek for 2 years now and 15 hours a week fishing on it. Still cleans up and looks like new. Very comfortable on bare feet, does not get hot and provides a quieter ride. For what Pro Anglers cost, this is a great add-on for the price. |

I just ordered a 2015 PA (1st Kayak ever)and like you I wanted to be seen by other boats so I went with the Papaya color. As luck would have it I saw ur Seadek flooring and now I got to have it. Now is your Seadek the same one that is on their Web site for the 2013,14 PA or did u customize it somehow? And is there anything u would have done differently and I mean with everything you bought for ur PA? |

Steve Besides the look of it, does the sea deck add any benefit? Just curious. I plan to have my PA 14 a long time and I'm concerened that will wear ot and if I did nothing, it would last longer. I fish salt water if that makes a difference. |

And is there anything u would have done differently and I mean with everything you bought for ur PA? My SeaDek is a custom kit and after 2 years of use on the 2013 PA14 I wouldn't change a thing. From a cost standpoint it is cheaper for SeaDek to cut up the front floor into sections as it's easier to cut more pieces out of a sheet of material. I originally templated the 2009-2014 PA14s for SeaDek so they would have something to start with. The 2015 PA14 has a scupper hole over the new skeg. The picture above has the rear cargo pad from their in-house 2015 template. It doesn't fit quite right. I have added the new skeg scupper location to my rear mylar template and sent it back to SeaDek so they can cut a new rear pad for me. My suggestion would be to call or e-mail them for a quote for a kit like mine. I have authorized them to use the fishing rod/reel and Pro Angler text logo for anyone that wants it. The Hobie logo will be left as they are not authorized to reproduce that. There is a charge for creating a custom logo and I'm not sure what they would charge for adding mine (minus the "H") if you wanted that as well. I have seen the logo (without the "H") on other kits. My suggestion to SeaDek was that they use the rod/reel/text logo that they just add a "12" or "14" instead of the "H" and it would look great that way! ![]() Keep in mind that with my full front floor pad, it is mounted over the stock black foot pads. They are not removed. The pads under the seat are removed. Durability: I have had the SeaDek installed for 2 years on the 2012 and 2013 PAs. I fish about 15 hours a week out of the 2013 PA in both fresh and saltwater. It has held up great! I believe SeaDek warrants the material for 3 years. I thought I read somewhere where it could last up to 5 years. My 2013 kit will clean up and look just as good as the new 2015 kit. The key like everything is washing the PA and the SeaDek and not letting anything that would stain stay on it for a long time. I should be posting some rigged pictures of the 2015 PA next week. It won't have the Livewell XL as that is on order. You will love the PA to fish out of. I went from a 22 foot bass boat to a PA and have never regretted that decision. ![]() ![]() |

The creek mud in saltwater is easier to clean than the cedar gum stains in my lake. ![]() I'm planning on having the 2 PAs I have now a long time as well. I feel blessed that I can afford to have 2 of them so that the second one can be used by the wife or a fishing buddy. ![]() |

Here are the rigged pictures on the new 2015 PA14. You have to love the new H-Rail system. No holes to drill and the flexibility to move things until you get them in the right place. I didn't realize that with the "Skeg" we lost the rear circular bucket. So I picked up a Pelican 1120 waterproof box for the fish finder battery. As with the 2013 PA14, I had to get another rectangular bucket for the floor storage. It's a lot more practical than the flip up that comes with the PA. The last 2 rigged pictures are just a typical setup. What I carry varies as to whether I'm going fresh or saltwater fishing. I do use the rear Hobie rod tube extensions from time-to-time depending on how many rods I take. The new rod holders are a lot better for storing the rods for traveling. I wish the rod tubes would have been slightly larger in diameter. While you can slide a casting rod all the way forward, spinning rods have larger guides and will not store as far forward due to the rear larger guides. Never owned a bait caster reel. ![]() When my Livewell XL comes in, I'll post a picture of it installed. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
