What do people recommend as the best 360 light. I just bought a used PA 12. Are there any that can just use the flush rod holders or do I need to install a mount? I'm thinking of the Yak Attack light. |

I really like the Hobie/Yak Attack safety light http://www.kayakshed.com/hobie-kayak-ge ... -and-light that I mounted just to the left of the aft rudder cover. I had a spare Scotty flush mount and gained access for the nut installation via the aft 8" round hatch. |

I installed a Scotty sea light. I like it a lot works great. I installed a Scotty base on my rear rudder plat cover and just stick it in there. However, there is a company called Kayalu that makes an awesome product called the kayalite, I would look into it. |

I have the YakAttack light as well, it's a great light. I have the one made for slide trax, as my previous yak had plenty of tracks. I mounted a Mighty Mount on the rear hatch of my Outback to mount it. I mounted it pretty far back as I tend to have problems when casting with other items(lights, rods) sticking up out of the boat. My buddy uses one on his PA, he mounted a 4 in track. |

I will probably get rear lights for my 2 PAs in the near future. I have found that the new H-rail flat mounting plates will clamp perfectly on the center of the rear handle and serve as the ideal mount spot for a rear light or flag. It works fine for even the older PAs. I thought I would post this in case anyone was wondering. The H-rail flat place would be easy to remove if necessary. You still have plenty of room on either side of the plate when installed to use both hands on the rear grab handle. ![]() |

I use the Kayalu Kayalite and I like it very much. When I first got it I was concerned because it is not very tall, but those concerns are over and it has turned into a great plus. It is very bright. I installed a Stainless pad eye on the hatch cover above the rudder. This is where it locks down. The fact that it is so short allows me to just leave it installed all the time. Plus you can hit it and it just springs over and pops right back up. I no longer have to worry about lures or rods hitting it while casting. The battery life is pretty good as well. I was even thinking about finding a small red cap to install over it and turning it on while transporting in the bed of my truck. Would give the car behind one more thing to notice the yak hanging out my truck. So - positive review from me. |

I use the YakAttack VISICarbon Pro on my Outback and before that, on my Pro Angler(s) 12 (and several other kayaks). I found that the best place to install it was on the left side of my Y/A BlackPak, due to the fact that I'm right handed (doesn't interfere with casting; conventional or Fly) and the proximity of the "marker system" to the seat allows me to easily turn the light on/off from a seated position.....mounting to rear of boat wouldn't allow this. There is no light or light/flag combo in the same class as the VISICarbon Pro. ![]() ![]() |

I have the Hobie/Yak Attack light as well. It easily fits in the rod holders in the back. |
