Ordered a H-crate and it was challenging to put together. Any body else think think the H- bars were tough to get in place? Also noticed on SRAces PA, there was a bracket installed on the side of his crate to hold the measuring board, where did u get that? And you're right SRAces, buying accessories for the PA is an addiction!!!

Google "hawg trough measuring board" for the measuring device.

Since I don't have a H-crate on my PA-14, my Hawg Trough is laying on the deck, on the R/H side of my seat......I also have a 4' long leash affixed to it.....I lay the trough over the right rail and pull the fish on to it for a quick measurement.....with the safety leash attached, I can let go of the trough and deal with the fish....it easy to clean off the fish slime later and then lay it back on to the deck. In spite of the fact that my net floats, I leash it for the same reason and will not lose it for any reason.

This was not my idea but i found it somewhere. I reinforced my Hawg Trough with two pieces of driveway maker that you would use in the winter. Cut it to size and siliconed it into the slots underneath the trough. I siliconed some closed cell styrofoam to the bottom center section. Now it floats and is unlikely to snap in half. The plastic is thin and brittle on the troughs. Easy DIY project and it works.

Ranger,

Sorry, haven't been on the PC much in the past few days. Just seeing your post now. It looks like your Hawg Trough bracket question was answered. I got mine from Hook1 as well when I ordered the trough. Will need to order a second set and figure out where to put them on the new Livewell XL. I see people are getting the new Livewell in. Hopefully mine will be in soon.
