Since your kayak will be exposed to the elements, suggest using pressure treated lumber, redwood or cedar in place of the fir/soft wood for longevity. ![]() |

I am going to coat the wood with tung oil or spray it with bedliner material. I agree with you can not leave it bare. |

Out of curiosity, how does one buy a a Hobie Pro Angler without a seat or the Mirage drive? I don't doubt your integrity, but were there indications it could be stolen? |

Ha, the boat is not stolen. The boat was a replacement hull from a ex hobie pro. He purchased it from his rep. |
