Post subject:  Weight limit before taking on water?

I'm curious if anyone knows the weight limit before taking on water through the scrupper holes or the drive system? I currently have a Nucanoe Frontier 12 and it has a 600lbs rating but at 300 it starts to take on water with out the plugs in. I'm a big guy 6'4" 350lbs and I was afraid that it might take on water through the drive area. I'm looking at the PA14. Anyone have any idea about this?

Most Mirage models will have water up in the drive well and in the heel area of the cockpit when you sit in the boat. This is normal and has to do with the lower floor / stability. The Pro Anglers are a bit higher in the floors, but water does enter the area when underway. Not sure the exact weight / moment.

I have had zero issues with my PA14 since I bought it, I fished all season day and night and have no complaints. I have sat in the seat for up t 8 hours while fishing tournaments and I am just as comfortable standing in it as well.

I'm hoping to get a 17T in the spring, but I'm a bit bigger than you. Do you find that you have to worry about where you step with your full weight? Are you able to stand without any issues?

Thanks

I am 6'6" and 260lbs and I can spend all day on my PA14 2014 and rarely even get a drop of water anywhere on me.
