Hi guys, I rear mounted a 34lb watersnake on my 2015 hobie PA 14, using the scupper holes behind the vantage..the mount is super lightweight Aluminium and super strong.. Here's a video with it in action http://youtu.be/XIhi_yPoakU Cheers, |

I'd be keen to see how others have their trolling motors set up too |

I'm waiting for someone to try the Hobie trolling motor mount from the PA17 on their PA 14. |

That'd be pretty cool... It'd have to be an I pilot or something with a remote...? |

Well you're in luck...I just ordered the pa17 motor mount for my pa14. I've read everything I can find regarding putting a motor on a kayak and it seems most do it for propulsion ...all I want is to be able to control my boat while fishing in the standing position . To do this I think a front mount xi5 with anchor or spot mode and jog is the perfect solution so if the mount fits as I think it will, I'll buy the motor and probably 2 nf-22 agm 55ah batteries that some one on here suggested. I really hope this works because it will be a very expensive failure if it doesn't ! I'll keep you informed and please provide any advice that may help. |
