I currently drive a 2010 revolution and got OK from the wife to get a PA. I've read most of the "PA 12 vs. 14" post here. I was planning on transporting it on racks (I have a truck w/racks) like I do with my revo. I don't have any issues getting my revo up and secured. Is it that difficult to get a PA up on racks? Should I just use the bed and extenders? I am not the best at handling trailers so that's out. |

The PA 14 is 140 pounds with out anything in it. Are you a young gym rat guy that could not care less? I'm a little older and after a day on the water going anywhere from 8-12 miles I'm tired. I don't want any part of that, it gets old quick. I bought the bed extender and now I just need the new truck to put it on. |

I operated this rack at a demonstration last month in China. Flawless. http://www.rhinorack.com/en-us/products ... lifter_nkl I saw the hand crank model, the braking on the winch was smooth, no danger or loss of control and smooth as silk. |

I have the PA 14 and use the bed extender. It works well for me when I back my truck up as close to launch point as practical. To make it easier to get it in and out I don't have it loaded. I transport the seat, mirage drive, loaded front hatch compartment, rear crate separately. It takes me about ten minutes to put everything on and its ready to go. When returning after a day on the water, I strip it again and left the front end of the PA onto the bed extender cross bar, then I go to the rear of the PA and left while pushing it onto the bed. I am not a big guy and this has worked for me for two years now. |

Anyone here know the laws with using an extender in CA? I know a red flag is a must. But length exceeding the extender and lights? |

The California laws are that you must have two lights when dark, a red flag, and the object cannot be more than 2/3 of the wheelbase past the last support point. I know questions have come up whether that includes the tailgate being down as the last point of support, but I don't know the answer. All I know is that 2/3 of my wheelbase of a full-size truck with a PA12 hanging off the back is compliant whether I include the tailgate or not. For the two lights, I built a PVC apparatus with trailer lights and it plugs into my trailer lighting plug and also lights up when I press on the brake. |

Finally made the trip to San Diego to pick up the PA 14. The fuys at Fastlane are awesome. Callen even hooked me up with some freebees. This thing is heavy. I wont be transporting in on the truck rack. Got a T-bone extender. Just got in lastnight so no picks yet. But there will be as promised. |

I had a bed extender from HF and it rusted so much that it finally broke. I just ordered a "boonedox" T-bone and although it is a lot more expensive, it is made out of aluminum and is curved so it won't drag on the road when coming out of driveways. I'll post a review once I receive it and have had some time to use it. |
