Does anyone use a C-Tug cart with their PA14? I have a Mullet Miller cart (c-tug with large wheel-eez wheels) that I have been using on my Jackson Big Rig and love the cart. I have never liked scupper carts for any kayak. Thanks for any input anyone can offer. |

Actually I do have a C-Tug that I have used with my Jackson Cuda 12. I am going to buy a Hobie plug in cart for my 2016 PA14 when my bank account recovers from the purchase. But I did moved the kayak around the house this weekend on the C-Tug. It works, but is a challenge to get under the 14 and strapped in. The 'kick stand' was a constant hassle to keep upright when putting the kayak on the cart. I think the fact that the Hobie scuppers in the rear are reinforced and the plug in carts are made specifically for this boat, kind of make it a no brainer. An expensive no brainer, especially since the C-Tug was not exactly cheap either. Don't know about you but the strap that came with the C-tug stayed on for about one use before being replaced by a simpler cam-buckle tie down strap that actually let me cinch the cart to the kayak. |
