Post subject:  PA12 Power Pole battery installation site

Just purchased a power pole micro kit (motor, spike, mounting bracket, wiring harness) and the battery holder that normally fits inside the rear round hatch will not work on a PA12. Any suggestions at to where/how to store the battery while in use? Thanks!

Use the bracket that mounts to the mast tube

I would recommend using the lithium battery option . This saves having to use a battery in the hull and a big hole drilled for the wire. I used the mast mount shown on the picture for mine before the new battery came out. I would generally get a full day of use out of it with a lowrance hds7 also tied in.

+1 on the power pole lithium battery. Best invention since the power pole itself!!!

+2 on the lithium battery option for the power pole. I already have two 9ah batteries mounted in front for long trips for FF / lights so did not want to add a third.
