Hello everyone,

My name is John and I am from Lynchburg VA.

I purchased a "new too me " 2015 Pa 14 earlier this month. I have only been able to take it out once, for about 3 hours, since buying it. I really enjoyed this first trip and am looking forward to many more... I have owned 2 WS Ride 135's (still have one in the basement) but was introduced to the PA 14's by two local PA 14 owners while fishing on a trip to Emerald Isle NC last year..... Been thinking about buying one since that trip and finally took the plunge this month....

John,

Congrats on the PA and welcome to the PA family and the addiction. I went to high school right down the road from you in Vinton, VA (Roanoke Valley). You mentioned Emerald Isle. Fond memories there for me as well. We use to hang out on the south end of the island gigging for flounder when I was young. I can remember taking the 2-car ferry long before they built that bridge to get you over on the south side...lol! Would probably love to fish the sound side now in a PA!.

I thought I'm done adding stuff to my 2016 PA 14 until I saw this Boonedox landing gear.
Does anyone has any bad experience on this product. The only thing I don't like right now is the cost plus I have to buy PA kit for additional 14.00. This company needs to sell small and large landing gear instead of selling a kit.
Im thinking of attaching ram ball rod holder and the mount for ProTecht umbrella.

Thanks for the welcome....My PA 14 came pretty well equipped, but I'm already planning on some additions of my own...so I am beginning to feel the addiction you talked about. I'm pretty new to fishing saltwater and haven't had much luck so far...but with the new yak at least I'll look like I know what I'm doing.... Maybe someday we might meet at Emerald Isle and do some fishing you never know....Good Luck.....
