Don't care to start a war on which cooler is better.

Anyone have a Yeti Tundra 35 behind their seat on the PA14?
How do you like the fit, size

A Yeti 50 fits perfect behind my PA14 seat. I bought a second set of Hobie bait tank tie downs, and connected them to two Yeti locking brackets. Worked awesome to keep it in place. The wife and I did six days wilderness camping on Lake Powell last month, traveled 55 miles on the water. The PA14 is a battle ship. I carried probably 150# of gear and food with no problems. No, the weight didn't slow down the boat, it actually made it more stable, like that was a concern.

All canned goods went into neoprene beer can sleeves stashed down low in the hull. Dry bags with clothes and cook stuff in the bow, no liner. Cooler, tent, umbrella (yep!), and left overs on the stern. We made water with a MSR miniworks filter.

We could have gone all week with no ice eating freeze dried food, but the PA is an awesome rig with huge storage, so we decided to take fresh food and have one ice cold beer each night.

That sounds like an amazing trip. I have only been on Powell once, and can only imagine how great it would be to kayak back into some of those canyons. We went in August, and every night for 2 weeks, a major thunderstorm would hit right around 5pm. Would blow and thunder like crazy for about 30 minutes, then calm right down. I also remember it being FREAKING HOT and that there was nothing between the very few marinas on that lake. Betting the Yeti came in real handy, as places to pick up ice on the way were probably pretty far and few between!

By the way, i dont remember much in the way of wood for camp fires, did you cook on portables, like a JetBoil or MSR?

Back on topic. You have any pictures of how the Yeti looks/fits in your kayak?
