I am considering getting a SeaDek kit for my 17t. But I need to be conscious of the fact I live in the desert (Las Vegas) and it gets extremely hot here. I am curious if the adhesive will hold up in the extreme heat temperatures we get. Note - I keep the 17t in my garage so it doesn't get direct sunlight and I only put it on water several times a month. However, the garage can get up over 120 degrees... Does anyone have comments regarding the adhesive for a SeaDek? My OEM Hobie deck pads are just fine, but not sure what the difference in adhesive is like. Thanks in advance. Temps here (SE North Carolina) don't get as hot as 120, but are mid to high 90's. I have had no problems whatsoever w/ seadek peeling. Installed in 2014. I also store in a garage. |

Only had mine on for a month, but it seems to be a really good bond to the hull. I keep mine outside under a cover. Just make sure you clean and prep the hull before you apply the seadek Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I've had mine out in the upper 90s and near 100 with no loss of adhesion after hours exposed to the heat. Fished Pine Island Sound, FL the week before last. It was really hot and we fished hard for 7 days. The 3 year old SeaDek on the 2013 PA and the 1 year old SeaDek on the 2015 PA are both still firmly attached. |

And it still sticks in the cold too, mine has been thru snow and sleet. And like they say in the installation instructions clean it at least three times and I found the acetone they suggest works a lot better than window cleaner. There is a lot of mold release to get off. Brian |
