I have always used the white Hobie square bucket in the floor storage on both my 2013 and 2015 PAs. That bucket holds a lot and allows me to put my phone, wallet, etc. in a secure place. While I do have shock cords under the seat that can hold 2 Plano boxes each if necessary, I usually just put 2 boxes under the seat. When I'm using my YakAttack Blackpack, I have plenty of storage. But if I use the Hobie Livewell XL, I was reduced to under the seat and in the front hatch. I have the H-Rail Tackle Bin, but have yet to find a spot that feels right for it.

I had wanted to mount an H-rail behind the seat to possibly attach that tackle bin to, but have not got around to getting those parts. I took the Double flip-up tray that comes with the PA and drilled 2 holes to align with the bolts that secure the seat strap. I took a Dremel tool and cut a slot in the side towards the front to allow for the strap to pass through. Will try it for awhile to see if it is a keeper. If I don't like it, I can easily remove it. No new holes drilled to test this out. I might add a small diameter shock cord retainer for the boxes.

Thought I would share this concept in case anyone else wanted to try it.

I zip-tied mine to the back of the top portion of the seat. Has been working well for me for two years.

Steve - I have a spare tackle bin if you want me to send it to you. You could put them back to back and double your storage. Still think you should add that H-Rail. I added the 9" to mine and it works great. If I had it to do over, I would have used the 21" version and cut the bar to fit exactly across that gunnel.

Thanks for the offer on your spare tackle bin. The jury is still out on this setup. I like it so far. I saw where a couple of folks mounted the tray to H-Rail plates and put them beside the seat. I probably carry more tackle on saltwater trips than freshwater. The 2 boxes in the picture would have soft plastics in one and spoons/jigheads in the other. I usually put 2 of the large Plano boxes under the seat. One with top water and the other with crankbait/jerkbait lures.

I have a second tray as my 2013 PA14 came with one, but I just put the 2013 PA14 up for sale last night in a few forums and Facebook sites. I want to get a 2017 Outback with the new Mirage 180 drive. That way I will have more flexibility than with 2 PAs. I want to river fish more and the Outback would be better for that.
