Post subject:  Cleaning Pro Angler and Vantage seat.

Hi all, i have recently acquired a second hand 2013 Pro Angler 14, and its a bit dirty from use by the previous owner.
I was wondering what cleaning products are safe to use on the pro angler hull, and also on the vantage seat ? The worst of it looks to be just muck from the Murray river and similar dirty waters, and the Vantage seat reflects this also.
Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated as i would love to restore this beauty to her former glory.
Jarrod.

P.s I would attach a picture of the beast in question but unfortunately im not sure how to.... :? any help in this regard also greatly appreciated

Hobie boat cleaner would do the trick for ya (part no. 70050001).

Also, this Mirazyme odor eliminator (part no. 7003) will work well for ya if you're trying to get some stink out of the mesh on your seat:

I was just going to post a similar question. I am going to be removing my Elite-4's transducer on Wednesday morning, and installing the TotalScan for my new 7 Ti. Was thinking that would be a great time to clean and polish the entire boat, from bottom up, since I am going to have to empty it out to turn it upside down anyway.

I was going to use soap and water to give it a good cleaning then use 303 Marine Protection that I bought but have not used. My question is really simple. Every time I wipe down the boat I notice that the textured surface of the deck and front hatch and hard to clean. Forget using a micro-fiber cloth, as it gets hung up like Velcro. What does everyone else use, just a sponge? Has anyone used 303, and how did you apply, and did you like the results?

STLKayak, the 303 marine protection you talk of, is that similar to Armour all car protectant but a boat safe version ?Hopefully it doesnt leave a residue like Armour all does or things could get hairy fast when you stand up.
ill be using a foam car sponge when i clean the PA, to avoid any unsightly fibres stuck to the boat that a cloth may leave.

The Hobie boat cleaner with a stiff brush works good......flush with clean water and then dry the hull.

I use 303 Aerospace and the hull color "pops".....I wipe it on, let "soak for several minutes" and the towel it off. The hull is slick as ice after applying 303!

Do you use the 303 on the deck and hatch cover as well, or just the outer hull? I could use slick as ice. i have been getting on the water once or twice a day, and cannot always get the time to really clean the kayak, though I do almost always wipe her down with a towel, bucket and hose. Just seems like after six months of heavy use, it's picking up more and more scum each outing.

I wouldn't use the Hobie boat cleaner on the CT Seat necessarily...a light liquid soap & water combo with a semi-soft scrub brush should do the job on the seat. And the Mirazyme if you need to get foul smell out of the seat fabric.

My posting was related to only the hull.

I use 303 on all the plastic surfaces.....keep it off the deck non skid black pads.
I have not tried it on the seat, but I see no reason not to use it as the mesh is plastic too.

Howie...

I have never sniffed it, but I am sure that my seat, after sitting in it for hours and hours on end, still smells like roses.

...but I could be wrong.
