Seadek informed me that their 2016 PA14 kit will not fit a 2017 due to feedback provided by Hobie about design changes between the two model years. Can you confirm this as accurate? Thank you. |

Can you confirm this as accurate? Thank you. Unless something changed in the deck layout from a 2015 through the 2017 PA14, you should be good to put any SeaDek kit made for the 2015 PA14 on a 2017 PA14. I know there was no change between the 2015 and 2016 PA 14s as far as the deck surface. Can Howie or Matt confirm whether there were any changes to the physical deck surface dimensions on the 2017 PA14 as opposed to the 2015-2016 models? MississippiJoe, My main contact Kira is out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday until the 27th. So she should be back in the office next week. If Hobie confirms that the deck surface dimensions have not changed, give Kira a call when she is back in the office. She will take care of you. The mold changed slightly in the form of a different angle of the firewall in front of the Mirage well on Outback, PA12 and PA14. Seadeck is aware of these changes, and has made changes to their kits to accommodate this. Inform them that you have a 2017 PA 14 and they should have a kit for you. |

This is what I was sent when I requested a quote. "Thank you for your interest in SeaDek. Unfortunately we do not have a kit for the 2017 Pro Angler 14. We did also hear from Hobie that the configurations are completely different from our kits for the older models so they would not fit yours. We do apologize, but if you would like to follow us on social media, if we do get that kit in the future we would certainly post about it. If you have any other questions, or we may be of further assistance, please let us know." There is a Seadek authorized installer up the road from me and I will stop in there and see what they can do. Thanks for the help. |

Thanks for the help. Call Kira next week. She is very knowledgeable and can help you out. I started the Pro Angler 14 kits for SeaDek. Trust me, you have options. If the only change was the tilt of the vertical wall in front of the Mirage Drive, then I doubt if the actual floor surface changed at all. You're getting a generic answer from someone that hasn't been involved and just looks on their website and doesn't see any 2017s listed. |
