Thanks. Yes, I did post it to the kayak DIY group. I was not too sure whether to post it there because there seem to be a lot of very negative individuals that never add anything useful to the topics posted. It's about taking things into perspective - flipping / falling into the water out at sea is no joke especially for individuals that are older or overweight or have disabilities and should not be taken lightly. Sharks and alligators, in abundance here in Florida where I live, tend to make re-entry a quick priority - at least for me anyway. Of course if you're mostly in the flats or shallows of a lagoon or by the shore of a lake or pond then this would most likely be overkill. I strictly made this for myself and figured it would help to share this information for others that were searching for a similar option. For everyone else that seems this is a waste of time and space should just move on to another topic. At the very least for those not interested in the safety factor for which I made the post, it can show options on how to mount a small rear deck onto the PA without drilling any holes for things like mounting a power pole or electric trolling motor and so on...

Your ladder design looks really nice and attachment method is very creative.

I assume some guys will find the design attractive to their needs, but since the stern of the PA-14 is so low to the water, I find I can re-enter very easily without any other aids.
I have practiced re-entry wearing my "loaded" NRS Fishing PFD and have not encounter any issue.

Thanks for sharing your design!

Can you tell us what type of plastic was used (and thickness?) for the base of the ladder. Also, where to purchase it. Thanks.
