I decided I didn't want to run out of power while I'm out on the water. I run a Lowrance HDS 9 with TotalScan (upgrading to Lowrance Carbon 9 with StructureScan 3D when they ship). I have lighting, Power-Pole and I charge my iPad mini and cellphone while I'm on the water.

I was running two 9ah batteries last season and just added a third. The batteries are wired in parallel, so in theory I should have about 27ah, which should be plenty to get me through the day.

Just a thought about any possible issues recharging the batteries, since they are all in parallel?

No issue with charging batteries wired in parallel. Just follow the proper wiring.

Thanks, I'd like to get the weight of my second battery in the front of my Outback.
