Post subject:  Question for 2016+ Pro Angler 12 Owners

I currently own a 2013 PA14 which I last used in mid 2015 just a couple of months before I bought the 2015 Outback. I'm debating replacing both with a PA12 but to be honest I haven't heard anything good about when compared to the ones I already own. I don't have a dealer I can rent one for a day from, so I'd like to hear from you.

How often have you used your PA12 and if you could get a full refund today of your purchase price as credit towards another Hobie kayak what would you do and why?

a. buy another PA12
b. buy a PA14
c. buy a Outback
d. buy Other

Thanks in advance for sharing.

Having first owned a 2010 Outback and then replaced it with a 2013 PA-14, for my use, the PA-14 is a keeper and I would not change back.
I plan to keep my PA-14 until I croak or the hull is somehow damaged beyond repair.
I don't need a tracking skeg since I installed the larger/sailing rudder that works really well in down rig fishing.

The new "180" Mirage drive is nice, but I rarely need to reverse. My paddle with the "T" handle gives me all the reverse I have ever needed.
Just my take, on how happy I am with my "old PA-14" 8)

Thanks for the feed back. I see now there is a large rudder for the PA14 and the Boonedox Landing Gear looks very interesting. Do you have either, and if you do were they worth the money?

As I noted above "I don't need a tracking skeg since I installed the larger/sailing rudder that works really well in down rig fishing."
The rudder cost was small and a good value to improve down rig fishing.....the new PA-14 has a tracking skeg, so the larger rudder would not be something I would change over to.

Since I launch and recover my PA-14 directly from my Hobie Trailex Trailer, I have no need for the Boondox landing gear or any other set of wheels.
