Post subject:  Hawg Trough Hobie Handrail Clips
This is my version of a support for the hawg trough tray that allows easy on/off installation using the hobie handrails. 3d printed using PETG filament which is easy to print like PLA filament but with the strength and flexibility of ABS. Print time using my settings is around 2 hours per clip. File is available on thingiverse for download as I continue to help out my diy kayak fishing community as best I can.

Thanks! Yes sir, the 3d printer was one of my favorite investments for 2016 and a game changer for me...

For those needing another mounting option, I made a similiar version of the trough support that can be screw mounted on a cooler, fishing crate or any available flat surface. This one is also available on thingiverse.

I am fortunate because my local community library has two 3D printers that they make available to library patrons. I am working on a custom camera back for my Marcum Recon ice fishing camera. I want to mount it to the Hobie H-Rail using RAM fittings in order to make it useful in the soft water season. This design will make viewing, camera deployment and retrieval more efficient by better management of the wire. Unfortunately, managing complicated print jobs is a low priority for the tech librarians, so I have been waiting for about 3 weeks to get this project printed. But for learning CAD at low cost, this community service cannot be beat.
