Post subject:  Question on 2012 Hobie PA Seat

I just bought a used 2012 Pro Angler 14 yesterday and cannot wait to get in the water with it. Unfortunately the original seat broke and it has been replaced with an Ascend seat that I'm not to sure that I'll like. Question is: what other seats will work on a 2012 PA? Are there particular parameters it must fall within? Don't get me wrong, I love the Hobie Vantage seats but there's no way I can drop $600 dollars on a seat and from what I'm reading, that wouldn't fit in an older model PA. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.

A new replacement seat for the 2012 PA runs about $300 and can still be ordered. I have seen installations of other basic boat seats installed on the older PAs. As long as you are attaching it to the original aluminum base so you can secure the seat to the hull, it should be an easy process.

Perfect, I thought it was something along the lines because of the mounting brackets that the seat uses. Thank you for clarifying for me.
