Not a lot of cons regarding EVA foam padding on a kayak. Pros - It adds some additional soundproofing. Never gets hot even in the summertime sun. Easy to clean and maintain. Comes in many colors and patterns.

I'm thinking of getting just the interior marine mat in my 2015 PA 14. Wood grain with the ruler. I have the oluve color. Besides looking pretty bad ass, what are the pros and cons? |

SeaDek can sell you that kit as a custom one if you inquire with them about it. They can't do the logos with the Hobie "H" as I did not give them permission for that version. The logo without the "H" they can use. That picture was taken this past weekend right after I washed both the Compass and PA14. The SeaDek on the PA still looks great after 3 years. |

For a 2014 PA14, SeaDek could use my 2013 PA14 kit if you like the full covered floor look. The black foot pads are not removed. The SeaDek is installed over them. There is enough deck space on the outside of the black footpads for adhesion and I have never had any issues with air pockets. The color on my 2015 PA14 is Mocha with Black trim. The finish is called "embossed" by SeaDek where you have the dimples on the surface. |

I think the Hobie kit in Gray/Charcoal (Hobie part # 72020252) part would look great on the Olive PA.
