This may be a custom size / pitch. In that case, you would be better off adapting one of the original parts for best strength. Among others, there is a "plug" or plain top version that you could work with.

I want to make a few special deck fasteners similar to the 71116001. Can anyone tell me the O.D. Outside diameter and Thread Pitch of these fasteners? John |

Hi RR, First, thanks for taking the time to reply and the information you supplied. Yes, I saw the solid plug version part # 71124001 and that might work if modified to my needs. I guess I can put a micrometer and a thread gauge to one of the plugs I have. I am pretty sure it is not a standard pipe thread. It is probably some type of priority thread that Hobie developed. John |
