Post subject:  H bar size

I'm going to try to make my own H bar for a pro angler 12.
Would like to know some sizes.
Width of the bottom of main bar?
Width of top of main bar?
Height of main bar?
Length of short legs?
How far up the main bar the short bars connect?
I'm making this out of electrical conduit.
Thanks.
New member here.
I'm bowfishing out of my new, used PA 12.
If someone could let me know how to post pics that would be great.
I had some canoe wheels that a friend modified for my PA and they work great.
I'll post pics of the wheels, H bar and some fish.

The value of the H-Bar is in the "modular" interchangeability of the accessories that attach to it. To undertake a project like that, I'd start there. Buy / borrow any H-rail accessory and reverse engineer your tubing from it.

I think that the original poster is after a stand up H-Bar instead of H-Rail where you would mount most of your accessories. I have no accessories mounted to my H-Bar since it would be another snag point for my fly fishing. Sight casting, chasing fish on the flats is a favorite method of mine.

Oops, sorry. I misunderstood completely. Did not mean to advocate for attaching accessories to a stand-up H-Bar, just H-Rail.

Dont ever be sorry for trying to help another kayaker. Bluntly these forums are kind of slow, so thanks for sticking your neck out some and trying.

We need more brainstorming on this site, people trying to help others.

Who knows, maybe I had it wrong. That terminology: H- Bar vs H-Rail, has confused me in the past.

OP I'm pretty sure my stand up H-Bar is made of the same stuff the H-Rail is. I am glad to help but I'm not confident in giving you the precise measurements you're looking for. You might try stopping by a Hobie dealer near you and measuring one yourself. That way you get the exact measurements you're looking for.

Honestly after about my second trip in my Hobie with my H-bar on I removed it and it's been in my garage ever since. Every now and then I'll see someone with a H-Bar on their kayak but can't remember the last time I've seen anyone use one. They just get in the way for me.

Let us know if you get what you're looking for. I'll take some measurements tonight when I get home (probably 10 hours from now).

I put together a h-bar from a step stool https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosco-2-Step ... /537540306 and Bimini hardware https://www.westmarine.com/boat-cover-bimini-hardware and quick release pins. It turned out so well that I continuously pat myself on my back.

Yes, I was needing the H bar measurements. Not sure it will work for bowfishing so that's why I'm hesitant to spend $275.
I did try the walker and it was too narrow.
I'll make a trip to Walmart and try the step stool. Thanks.

I'm still interested in the measurements. Thanks

Well, maybe I'll get a response by winter.
Have it done by spring.
Maybe

I saw that video. I actually purchased a walker from Walmart. However it was way too narrow and did not work. Had to return it. Maybe I'll do some measurements and see if I can get one that's wider

I must have missed that. Maybe I'll try it again
