Post subject:  Need help finding a roof rack for 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I'm needing help finding a roof rack sister for the PA14 for my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Most systems I have found are $600. My Jeep doesn't have the tow package so a trailer is a no go. I would like the PA14 to lay flat on my roof. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Adding a trailer hitch and plug in wiring kit is a no-brainier for your Jeep.....Consult U-Haul or other dealers who install Curtis hitches.

A used jet ski trailer makes a good PA-14 trailer or go all the way with a Hobie Trailex trailer.

You have no idea of how difficult it is to safely lift a PA-14, on to a roof rack, on top of your Jeep.......the hull is heavy and unwieldy.......add some wind to the equation and it a disaster waiting to happen. Just my free of charge, old guy advise :wink:

I really appreciate the insight sir. I looked into what you said you are exactly right. That is for sure the way to go and I never even knew about a conversion kit. You just helped this young man not have back problems when I get older. Lol.
