Hi, im new to the board, bought a 2019 pa 12 a month ago. I just sold my bonafide and i am looking to get a new fish finder. I know that the lowrance hook2 is not a great unit so i am planning on getting a 9" elite ti2. Everything i am reading says to get the largest screen you can afford. Right now i can get a 12" hook 2 for $799, would this price point outweigh the pros over the elite ti2? |

I would suggest test fitting a 12" before committing to one, I have a Live 9 and I don't think I'd want a 12" screen, would be too big and in the way for me, just a thought! |

Another thing to consider is battery requirement. With that 12" you may be looking at a 35 ah battery just to power it for a day. That size of battery you would almost have to go lithium and you're looking at up to $500 just for the battery. I know it's been done but I personally have never seen a 12" screen on a kayak before. Lots of 9" but never a 12". |

Thanx for the responses, I decided against the 12” anyway, against other people’s judgements I went with the hook reveal 9, I like it so far, I didn’t want to spend $1100 on the elite ti2 9! |
