Hello all,
I've found two brand new trailers for my new kayak but I am not sure which one will be a better fit. The first one is for a jon boat. Here are the specs:
Hot Dipped Galvanized
Spring Axle
Oil Bath Hubs ( 5 Lug)
12” Carlisle Tires
Submersible Lights
Fulton Wheel Jack & Winch
2″ Coupler
ABS Fenders
45″ Between Fenders
58.5 ” Overall Width
16′ Overall Length
GVWR 1050 lbs
Carrying Capacity 800 lbs

The second one is 8'-12' PWC. Here are the specs:
Spring Axle
Hot Dipped Galvanized
Oil Bath Hubs ( 5 Lug)
12” Carlisle Tires (4.80 x 12)
Submersible Lights
Fulton Wheel Jack & Winch
2″ Coupler – ABS Fenders
45″ Between Fenders
58.5″ Overall Width
13′ Overall Length
Net Carrying Capacity 800 lbs

I will be kayak fishing in saltwater so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. The price difference is only $60. Thank you!

Of the two trailers, the PWC is a better selection....in any case, both are "overkill" capacity wise for your PA.

8 years ago, I bought a Trailex (Hobie recommended) aluminum trailer......it's about 150# and has a 225 pound capacity. Its a good trailer and very easy to maneuver.
My Subaru Outback does know when the trailer is hooked on......No issues in salt water either. Just lube the wheel bearings.
You will find the Trailex trailer is a much softer ride for you PA as the tire pressure is 12-15 PSI.

Thank you guys so much for the valuable input. I 'have decided to go with the Jon boat trailer because 1) it had a nice discount and 2) it was pre-assembled 3) came with a title and 4) only 10 minutes from home.
I tried it for the first time on Sunday and couldn't be happier.
