Took the plunge and upgraded to the v2 live well today. Unfortunately when I tried her out in the garage I could not get the red outflow drain to seal and it continued to leak (steaming dripping) regardless of twisting/adjusting. It would only seal with slight downward pressure applied to the pull knob. Visually everything looks tight and seated. Does the o ring always leak slightly and this is just overcome by the pump intaking more water than is lost? Thanks in advance for any help! |

You should be able to get a better seal on that. |

Matt ......... can you give him some suggestions on how to make it work right. Just saying that it should work better isn’t very helpful. Maybe some of your engineers could provide some helpful information or maybe an RMA so he can exchange it for a unit that works. |

Don't have the parts available here at home to review... just a suggestion as working from home is not allowing me to access a lot of my stuff from my files. Hoped someone here had had that experience and a possible solution they have used. As I recall... from way back... there was a possible adjustment to the parts to get the the seal tighter. |

That is totally understandable but maybe you could check with the engineers that are responsible for this product. You have the access that we don’t. |

Actually, we are extremely busy and in addition, all staff are doing 3 hours of training every afternoon. Working from home... and trying to jump start a company that has been idle for 8 weeks. Sorry that I don't have all the answers for you when asked. I was able to get over to my warehouse over the weekend. I looked at the parts and it is pretty simple, I think. There is a PVC threaded part (base of the pump) that the pick up tube fitting threads to on the exterior of the tank. This is the twist lock feature the pickup attaches to. The part on the tank has a raised ring that will engage the O Ring in the pick up tube part if it is twisted all the way on to the tank part. The issue may be that the PVC threaded part is too long or has a burr that prevents the pickup tube from fully locking in place. Therefor the o ring may not be sealed properly. There should also be a seal under the locking feature on the tank. |
