Hello,

New to the forum and very new to Hobie kayaking. I bit the bullet and bought a new PA 14 360. Was very excited to bring it home. 1st thing I did was install the seat and to my surprise, it didn't sit back on the kickstand without pushing down on it. The tether prevents the kickstand from moving forward any more. I mean if I force it it sits down in the depressions but it does pull the hull plastic a bit. Am I being paranoid? Will it eventually stretch and sit in properly? I am a little bummed since it's literally the 1st thing I tried to install. The front legs are definitely in the slots correctly. Thanks for the help.

I can't figure out how to upload a photo to show what I mean.

Thank you
Matt

It sounds like the webbing on the kickstand is a little bit too short? If that's the case you can reach out to your dealer and file a warranty claim for a replacement PA kickstand webbing assembly- 84500821.

Another thing that happens is the armrest frame isn't bent enough - so that might also be the issue - easy fix just tweak the frame of the chair slightly to spread out the rear from the front legs - a dealer can help - should have been caught during their PDI inspection and adjusted.
