This is at Nor'banks on September 27 and 28. There is a chance I can make it but I won't know for a while.

Not many details online; I suppose it is like the regular Duck Cup. http://norbanks.com/events.php

Anyone planning to go?

I'm planning on going. Hobie 16- solo most likely, although I may try to find crew.

What's the best overnight plan? Camping? Where?

I don't want to speak for the owner, as I haven't done Son of Duck Cup yet, but typically camping is permitted at the sailing center for the summer Duck Cup. I believe it will be the same for Son of Duck cup. There is a nice grassy area for tents. They've also installed a shower, and it is nice to get to rinse off after sailing. The Currituck sound is an interesting body of water. There are no tides to speak of and the water is more fresh than salt. I have done Duck Cup several times and it is always a blast. The sound there can offer some interesting sailing conditions. I'm looking forward to it.

I've camped on site before. As James said.. there are baths w/showers and a nice grassy place to pitch a tent. Not many restaurants nearby open in the early AM. Bring food for Breakfast. Several Hotels ~10 miles away in Kitty Hawk

Unfortunately I don't think I can make it this weekend to Duck. I still highly recommend this regatta to anyone that can attend. I'm bummed that I can't make it.

There were supposedly four Hobies from Rodanthe going up; I assume they were all 16s. Unfortunately I wan't one of them...

I hope things went well! Let's see some pics!
