Depart from Avila Beach, CA. Hit a couple small rock islands heading south toward the Dinosaur Caves at Shell Beach.

See a couple dolphins around 2:00. Through the arch at 3:05.

Nice vid Jon. Really enjoyed it. I noticed that you didn't muck around or linger when going through the arch. Looks like it doesn't have many more years left in it.

Yeah, it looks really calm in the video, and for the most part it was. Most swells were very small. But every 5 min or so, there was a set of 3 consecutive swells, that really caused some whitewash and reflection through that arch. It was probably still doable, but not really interested in chewing up my amas on those rocks. I like my AI too much for that. My strategy was to wait for the calm, and go.

Stringy, who lives down this way, did something similar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lsHdOrxqA8

That's awesome. Just don't get caught in there with a big swell.
