I want to try a Hobie - maybe a Hobie 16 or Wave - before I buy one.

Does anyone know of a place in the midwest where they can be rented?

Thanks,
Ron

Ron,

Chris is right, any fleet will give you all the info and rides you need

go here http://www.hcana.hobieclass.com/

third from the left pull down menu is "contacts"

select "Fleet Listings" and contact the one closest to you

Then let us know what happens :D

That sounds good - I will contact someone when I am ready to go up there (I leave near St. Louis so Iowa is not too far)....

Also, I read somewhere there is a Hobie 16 competition up there? Midwest Nationals?

Thanks...

Sorry there's no racing information on this website (and my apologies for posting a link to the evil class assoication...please don't ban me!)

Notice there's a St. Louis fleet listed, also one in Illinois.

If you have a chance to get to the Kansas City area, Fleet 297 sails at Clinton Lake near Lawrence (you know, home of the reigning NCAA basketball champions).

We'll get you a ride on a Hobie
