Anyone have any news about what happened to the Houston dealer, KO Sailing? Did Ike tear her up? I have a down payment on a Wave and was supposed to pick it up in November. I am wondering where to go from here?

I imagine they've got water in the store and no electricity. We've not heard from a couple of our vendors down that way, but we won't start worrying till next week.

I talked to Nora a little while ago - she said KO had called in yesterday, so they're alive. KO was trying to stop a truck that was headed their way. I suspect it was the same truck that was here yesterday dropping off boats.

Give them a chance to clean up, then give them a call. I'm sure your delivery date is safe. Kolius isn't about to fold up the tent over a hurricane - not his style.

I just talked to KO sailing on the telephone. They had no damage. I think they have some sticks to pick up in the yard. Power is back on and they are back in business.

Phew...I had this picture in my head of my new wave stuck in a tree or pinned under a fallen building. He told me it was still in a box and didnt even get wet.

That's good news... KO is pretty close to water.

Your boat was probably on the truck that rolled through here on Monday. For the most part, it's easier to store the boats in boxes than built on trailers. Especially since it only takes an hour to build a Wave.
