Correct... Mast stickers have no relevance to number of boats made. They are simply a tracking number. |

Is there a great big database somewhere that tells you what mast number originanlly went with what boat? I mean, if its for tracking purposes, you should be able to track something useful. I wouldn't mind knowing if my mast was originally a comptip mast, or if it was originally all alum. |

Unfortunately, not a usable database. The number gives us limited ability to refer to logs in the factory. Not search able. Pretty good cut-off date on the all aluminum masts. They started coming standard and retrofitting in 1985. |

Oh well. I was just curious if my mast was the original mast that had come with the 79. It has a comp tip, I just can't tell if its a retrofit or off a different boat. |
