Hi,again have a 14T and am wondering when my main is up the boom hangs down so low that i really have to duck under it my h16 was the same way.Does this mean that the mainsail is pretty worn out.My buddy has a h14 and his main and boom sit much higher you really don't need to duck.? is the main wore out. Thanks |

This is primarily due to mast rake aft (correct mast rake). If you rake the mast forward... there is more room under the boom, but this is not the way the 14 (or 16) should be rigged. Rig so the mainsheet blocks touch or nearly so when fully sheeted for the wind conditions. |

Is that why my buddys 14 tend to pichtpole and the bows tend to dive down alot cause mine being raked back more than his doesnt dive as much or pitchpole plus im seem to get alot more speed than him even without my jib flyin. |
