New Forum Software - Lost Posts The forums admin area was hacked last night and we have had to go to a backup file from last night. Anything from 2AM on was lost. Sorry! At least we have the lastest forum software now! |

"Hacked"? Why would someone want to hack into a forum full of crusty, old men? Was it the Nacra guys? |

Seems to be working now. Funny... seems you can not search for something simple as just "cam". That was my first test. |

I was going over some of my ealier posts and noticed my initial post of my thread: "My first sailboat....a Hobie Wave" (January 11, 2009, Wave Forum) has been recently butchered, yet the last time it shows edited was January 17. Post deleted - suspiciously corrupted. |

We had already used backups to recover the site. What you are seeing is an issue with some special characters. I saw that with some of my posts and the spanish forum title. Seems the new software is not reading these correctly or a font is different. I edited the post to try and recover the original meaning for you. Let me know how I did. |

Hackers go after anything they can.. usually they just fill it up with spam/malware links for unsuspecting people to click on. Glad you guys had a backup and the new version looks good! Some of the forums I admin, I had to lock down the membership signup because hackers had bots attacking it with account creations.. it was crazy. |
