Post subject:  Im new and dont know what to get?
Hi im a beginer sailor (havent sailed yet) and would like to start sailing. At 14 id like a boat that I can sail alone or with a friend. Preferably 2 friends. I dont mind slow sailing but I prefer fast. I also NEED IT CHEAP. I do have a job but limited summertime left and would like to be sailing while I can. I do have a job so it doesnt need to be to cheap. I've considered the sunfish, but i want to be able to take diving equipment. I'd love to have a hobie cat. If you can find a cheap one please show me a link or email me [email protected] NOTE I DO NOT LIVE IN ENGLAND I live near Ft. Myers, FL. If you have any recomendations PLSE help

If cheap is the strategy here, get a used H16. However, you wont be taking SCUBA tanks and BC's and regulators. You can take snorkeling stuff however. Make the seller give you lesson and take you out before you buy.

Check the local marinas and yacht clubs many have youth sailing programs.

my father can teach me but I guess I should get the H16 just there pretty expensive

compared to the Pico or the Sunfish
