I currently have a yellow nationals sail set ( with a rainbow stripe set in the center) that has a really tired jib. I see in the catalog they list only white and turquoise hobie 18 jibs, and there is no mention of anything like the special order catagory listed under the H-16. Question one: can you get a special order H-18 jib....Question two: if so, what does that get you...just a solid color jib, or can you really get a matching jib, and at what cost.

Matt Miller is the authority here on that, but I can tell you that the multicolored "rainbow" stripe cloth is definitely no longer available.

Hobie Cat only stocks a limited number of sailcloth colors - white, blue, red, yellow and gray are common. They may have some "bolt ends" of other colors.

Our 1982 Hobie 18 jib (rainbow colors matching mainsail) should probably be replaced.
Is this still the situation (solid colors only)?

Yes - the "rainbow" panels have not been available for many, many years. The MOQs are just too large to justify stocking the material.
