Quote: Here I sat yet another weekend with very little wind. It seems as though every weekend for at least the past 2 months the wind is too light to sail. Its really typical for daytime in July or August in northeast Texas.....very hot and very little wind. I watch the forecast expecting to see at least one day with some wind, but it is always 5 - 10 and most often at the lower end of that scale. I gaze out the living room window hoping to see the trees swaying only to see the leaves as limp as can be. The wind did blow around 15 for a couple of days during this week, but work just keeps me too busy. At any rate, if some of you have a little extra wind, please send it my way......and preferably during the weekend. I will be anxiously awaiting its arrival, so git off your butts! Forty times out this year so far with most having good wind, but that might be it. Scheduled 4 days of sailing next week, but the weather may not cooperate. |
