I have two 9 foot pieces of 8 inch pipe. Anyone have any good suggestions on what to do with it. I though maybe bolt it onto my trailer next to my cat box, and get two caps. Then I can store my main sail in it, free from wearing against anything in the cat box. Although I do use a sail bag. Any ideas, be creative? ![]() |

you could mount them under the boat, fill the back end and use them as pumpkin shooters. Should be helpful at the next regatta ![]() |

Take the pipe and the rest of the crap in your yard to the dump! |

What crap, beyond the small pine tree its not my yard, the only crap in my yard is the fishing pole, tackle box, rope locker and the bungee. Can I get some specks on the pumpkin shooter, do they make 8 inch bowling balls? lol Also why would I split the shipping. If I want it gone ill put on the free section on CL, but if I don't use it on my Hobie it has great hydroponic potential. |

I use two 8" pipes for sail storage with some test caps for the storage. I had to get a new cap recently they were a bit pricey ~ $80 each. Pretty good for storage but not much room for anything other than sails and the boom, tiller extension and some line. Not as glamourous as a "Lunch Box" but will do. Kent |

I just used a slice of 6" PVC for a rear mast support. Cut out the contour of the rear cross bar on the bottom, and a V shape to hold the mast on the top. Pumpkin shooters would be fun too. Chad |

Chad wrote: Pumpkin shooters would be fun too. I have to say this is the best idea by far in this thread!!!!!!! It would be like a big potato gun. |

Quote: Chad wrote: Pumpkin shooters would be fun too. Expanding on that...I still love this story published in an issue of "On the Wire" http://www.west.net/~lpm/hobie/archives/v1-i2/humor.shtml Maybe those PVC pipes could be used as housings for an anti PWC system! ![]() |
