Just wondering if there are any cat sailors around Lake Eufaula, AL? If so give me a yell and maybe we can get together and sail or talk some time. Thanks, Joshua |

Joshua, I live in Auburn. I brought my hobie up for a few months and sailed at Lake Martin. Just bought my Hobie 16 in may and am still learning the ropes. I was thinking about bringing it up from the Gulf Shores area before football season. How is the wind at Lake Eufala? I was wondering about launch areas there also and at West Point lake. My email address is [email protected]. Love to get some advice or just go sailing. Best Branson |

The wind at Eufaula can whip pretty good. I have seen with my on eyes wave pushing 3 feet! Maybe even more. I usually stay around the south part of the lake because it is closer to the house and its the widest part. I put in at Hardridge Creek just north of Highland Park. Nice boat landing and easy to put in. I have only seen two sailboats on the lake and both have been mono's. Can't wait to blow past them on my Hobie. So much fun. Thanks, Joshua |
