Okay, I think this is kindof cool. I was on hold FOREVER with one of the companies I do business with, so I got on the HCA-NA site, hit sailing links, clicked on HONG KONG and started looking at pictures. I saw a picture of a hobie 16, with Playa Del Sol sails with sail number 107915. Here is what I think is interesting. I live in Pigsknuckle Iowa, and have a new playa del sol, with sail number 107914. Far side of the world. ![]() |

"Due to higher than usual call volume, your call will be answered in 14 minutes......." thats what the electro female voice from AXA Financial said before I took my around the world trip. It was better than twiddleing my thumbs. Anyway, how can that be explained?? Don't the Asian Hobie boats/sails/parts......come from AU or EU? |

Asia is a Hobie Cat USA / Australasia territory. Back when that sail was made it was just USA. All the sails made for USA / Australasia are made in the USA. |
