On weather.com it says it'll be 83°F on Wednesday and 85°F on Thursday. ~15 mph of wind.

Guess who wants to go to the lake? :)

Who needs nice weather to go sailing? I went last weekend in Ohio. 26 degrees, wind at 20 and 41 degree water temp. Nice weather is for pansies, actually we would have preferred something a little less brisk. The only problems were, the cams were useless and after about 30 minutes going at it the spray froze the sheets up and I had to let the main out by pushing it out with my foot. That was fun for about ten more minutes and we came in. We got a few "you guys are nuts" from the club and the fire department.

Yea I still have one of our 80's trophies. It was a racket ball cut in half and glued to a piece of plastic.

"BLUE BALLS Regatta"  8)

Sailors will do anything for a sail.

I recall the videos of that Sweedish guy; sailing in hailstorms, melting the ice off his boat so he can go out, etc etc. Nuts.

Weather update - tomorrow it is supposed to be 83°F and 17mph of wind. Thursday is more of the same. Friday will be in the 50s and raining.

Just to rub it in a tad more, today it's 83°F and tomorrow it's supposed to be 90°F. I plan to knock off work a touch early and go both days. :)

The air temperature here was 78 yesterday, but the water temp. is 38 degrees

That's 34 degrees below the 150 degree rule (if water plus air is below 150 use a wetsuit). Think we'll wait until the water reaches 50.

Hey you guys down South have fun :D , and keep pushing that warm air our way.

I've never heard of the 150 rule. It doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'm guessing the water is about 40°F right now, but I really have no idea. That'd make for 130° or so. Dunno. Should be okay. Didn't wind up going yesterday but I HAVE BIG PLANS FOR TODAY BABY.

The Corps of Engineer's lakes have daily info like this

If not sailing a Corps lake find one close to get info.

Well today was fun until we got 2 miles up the lake and the wind died. We paddled for quite a while until a bass boat came by and towed us the last few hundred yards.
