I have prescription glasses so I need/use something a little bigger. I have been using my ski goggles tinted amber and man, the colors/brightness get amped up nicely. Yesterday was 18 G24 then started ripping at 26 G30. Needless to say with the 3-4 foot waves on the 18 even my ski goggles were not working (water thru the foam). We were breathing 70% air, 30% H20! But I guess nothing short of a dive mask will help here? and even that would be fogged quickly. We need a Cat Goggle system! |

check the swim section of a well stocked sporting goods store. there is a large variety of swim googles made, some of them are fairly large. you can also get swim googles made to prescription. the advantage over ski googles is there are no vents, but they will fog from time to time. another option is a pair of prescription wrap-around sunglasses. mine are not prescription, but they cover top, bottom and sides so no reflected glare comes in anywhere. plus I look really goofy in them... great! |

I wear prescription Barz goggles. You buy the standard goggles which come with two or three different size (width) nose bridges. Then you send them back to their lab with your prescription and they fit the new lenses with whatever tint you want. A friend of mine uses prescription Sea Spex and he likes them a lot. They are more like sunglasses though. The Barz are more like goggles which I prefer for heavier conditions with a lot of spray. Water doesn't get in behind them. I also use a bright colored floatie on the band since they are rather pricey. |

I use "fit over" wrap arounds over my prescriptions from CVS. Works fine and at ~$15/per you can't beat the cost impact. They stop nearly all the spray (never can say I've felt any), are very comfortable and afford me a large viewable perspective. |
