I was hoping someone could give me a tip on removal of rust stains. |

West Marine Fiberglass Stain Remover (FSR) worked for me. Its a gel. Glop it on the stain and wait a few minutes and rinse off. Might need to do it twice for dark stains. |

Anything with oxalic acid as an active ingredient will work. Some are stronger than others. FSR is probably as strong a stuff as I would put on a sail. Barkeepers' Friend and ZUD are powdered cleansers that have oxalic acid that aren't quite as strong (or expensive). Just make sure to rinse the area thoroughly afterwards with lots of water. |
