Post subject:  Hobie 16 rentals, Cozumel? Cayman Islands?
Does anyone know who rents Hobie 16's in Cozumel or Grand Cayman? Will be stopping there on a cruise in about 3 weeks. Thanks.

Don't know about Grand Cayman, but last time in Cozumel there were NO sailboats for rent. There were H16's in Cancun, but for use in the Lagoon only, and that was a long, long, time ago.

Unfortunately, it seems like the cool places in the world us sailors would like to get out in the Ocean and run a little, don't rent sailboats, let alone something we could get some serious speed with like a H16. :cry:

Hope someone has a different story for Grand Cayman.

According to the Grand Cayman tourism site, there are lots of operators.

If you're on one of the major cruise lines, they have people that will help arrange your shore excusion. Hunt them down almost as soon as you get on the ship and ask for their help.
