I don't race, but I do have insurence on my H18. All liability while sailing is covered under my homeowners/renters (depending on if you own or rent...). While trailing my auto covers the boat, trailer, and car. While storing my homeowners/renters covers damage due to weather or other freak things. The one coverage I am thinking of adding this year is damage to my boat while under sail. I need to see if it is worth it. I know that some races require a certain amount of coverage and some insurance companies do not cover racing. On Catsailor.com there is a thread discussing insurence for racing. |
