Post subject:  Which Cat-Trax wheels are better?

Now that I have a little free time I am going to start selling all these extra parts from when I took two bad 16's to make a good one and also part out my parents H14. I have 2 sets of cat trax, one with the blue plastic wheels and one with the rubber wheels. The plastic ones seem lighter but the rubber ones seem more durable (especially if I have to wheel the boat on pavement). Which of these are preferred? I live in Florida and the sand gets pretty soft if that makes a difference.

Yes... Rubber for soft sand. The plastic wheels are only good on more solid surfaces.

I have just used the rubber ones. They work great, just don't over inflate the tires, they work best with low pressure.

Nevek,
I'm looking for a set of beach wheels. If you are selling one please let me know how much. I would need them shipped to TX 77584

Thanks,
Mike

Cool thanks, I will have to check the condition of the rubber ones I have because they are probably 20 years old.
