Hi guys, i am just thinking of buying a Baby Bob for my new (used) Hobie 13. The 13 is comparable to the wave with GFK hulls but I am not very experienced with cats so i thought might be a good idea. The question is how much weight has this float as the mast is already heavy to raise for me as I have to do it alone and I have no pin for my old styled mast base.... Thanks for the info and greetings, Micha |

Yes, I thought it could be even more difficult if additional 2,6 pounds are at the end of the mast...But maybe worth. I am just thinking about installing an awful kanister that I have here but this thing has only5 liters. maybe enough for my Hobie 13 with hullweight of 21,6 kg but maybe not. The Bobby is very expensive here in Germany... ![]() |

There not cheap here either. I used a boat bumper clamped in a bracket. I made it for a friend of mine that didn't have the money for a BOB. It worked. |
