What would ten gallons of epoxy cost from a wholesaler? I've got an eff'd up bathroom floor I need to prep for tile. I don't feel like tearing out the floor, levelling it out, or fixing it properly.... I don't think I can float it with concrete either, I think it'll eventually crack. Also... can it get hot enough to ignite wood? Don't need to burn down my new crib. lol |

4.35 gallon 105 $325.05 / ea 1.45 Gallon 209 $230.96 .33 gallon 209 $65.52 I'd use 209 extra slow hardner to keep the heat down. Or use 207 it's designed to self level. About the same price. 207 Special Clear Hardener was especially developed for use with WEST SYSTEM Brand 105 Resin in coating applications where an exceptionally clear moisture-resistant natural wood finish is desired. Improved formula chemistry allows for true clear cure with same UV stability without amber tint. An ultraviolet inhibiting additive improves the resistance of a WEST SYSTEM 105/207 mixture to sunlight but the cured epoxy surface will still require the additional protection of a quality UV-filtering varnish. 207 is designed to self level for smooth finishes and to wet-out and bond fabrics. Although it provides good physical properties for general bonding applications it is more difficult to thicken and less cost effective for this purpose than 205 or 206 Hardeners. It's also used for laminating veneers where bleed through at joints may be exposed to sunlight. Thats from Jamestown Distributors. |

You don't need WEST System to do this. You can use almost any bulk epoxy for this job. Just shop around. Make sure all the cracks are sealed before you do this - or else all your epoxy will leak out. Don't ask me how I know. BTW, you can buy a lot of leveling compound for $600. Like a whole new bathroom floor's worth. |

Karl, try these guys: http://www.fgci.com/ Looks like around $450 + shipping Is polyester not strong enough (a lot cheaper)? Either way, that's some damned expensive (and stinky) fill. |
