I have an odd request for you and if there is anyone out there who can help we would be most grateful, but wehave to try this as we are really in a pickle at the moment: May 27, 2011 We are a non profit environmental foundation, www.noplasticplanet.org, who is currently, litterally, stuck between the US and Mexico at the boarder of Matamoros and Brownsville, TX. The reason we are stuck is we have a trailer with a Hobie Cat 16 on it . The car and trailer is register to me in Florida, but according to the DMV in florida there is no registration for a Hobie Cat because it is considered a "beach toy" and has no motor, therefore no registration. No ID numbers. No nada. So, to make a long story short, the Mexican officials wont let us cross the boarder with it. I have a Bill of Sale for it, notorized even, but no go. What they need is a reciept, an Invoice, a "Factura". I realize we are asking alot, but would you see fit to make us up one and email it to me so we can pass the boarder and continue on our way to Panama where we are opening an Eco Center there dedicated to the sea. If this is at all possible we would be most grateful and in your dept. Perhaps a tour in Panama on our boat would be payment enough? Or our non profit could send you a donation recipt which could be used for a tax write off? I thank you for your time and your quick response either way.
